Prime Experiences is a Miami-based yacht experience and event company founded in 2011 by Jose David Tobon and Juan Sebastian Garcia. Our story
From private charters to full event production
Prime began with private yacht experiences. As Miami grew and corporate demand rose with it, the company widened its offering to exclusive yacht venues for corporate events, team-building outings and company retreats, then to weddings and private celebrations. The hospitality standard did not change; the scale did.
2011
The beginning
Jose David Tobon and Juan Sebastian Garcia start Prime Experiences in Miami around a single idea: days on the water that people remember for years, run with the care of a hospitality team rather than a rental desk.
The early years
Building the yacht experience business
The company grows across South Florida on private yacht charters and curated experiences, and standardizes the service model still used today: a licensed captain, a stewardess and a dedicated VIP host on every charter.
The expansion
Moving into events
As Miami grew and demand for corporate gatherings rose, Prime widened its offering to exclusive yacht venues for corporate events, team-building outings, company retreats and specialized event services, with weddings and private celebrations following.

Three specialized hubs
Prime Experiences now runs a fleet of yacht venues for 2 to 600 guests, a full event-production team and three specialist websites for fleet discovery, event planning and curated experiences.

Our mission
Plan every event around the people in the room. That means listening before proposing, handling the details that guests never see, and running each charter and each event with the same hospitality standard, so the host gets to be a guest too.
What we plan and produce
Three kinds of events, one production team
Corporate events
The largest part of our work. Boardroom-scale meetings and retreats where the conversation is the point, and full-deck programs with staging, AV and a run of show: launches, award nights, annual meetings, recognition evenings, client appreciation, holiday parties and team outings.
Weddings
Ceremony and reception in one venue, with no transfers between them, plus welcome and rehearsal events for out-of-town guests. We coordinate the timeline, catering, florals, entertainment and the docking logistics that decide when the sun sets on your vows.
Wedding yacht venuesSocial celebrations
Private milestones where the guest list is the whole point: birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, anniversaries, graduations and family celebrations, run as a private venue rather than a table in someone else’s restaurant.
