Can you host a Bar or Bat Mitzvah on a yacht in Miami?

Yes. Prime Experiences hosts Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations aboard Miami yacht venues. Larger vessels in the fleet host 140 guests or more and combine interior salons with open deck space, which is what makes them work for a celebration with both an adult reception and a teen party running at once.

Prime Experiences provides the venue, catering and event coordination — we do not provide religious services, and the ceremony itself takes place at your synagogue or chosen location. Kosher-style and dietary-specific menus can be arranged in advance; entertainment, décor, photography and guest transportation are coordinated on request and confirmed on your proposal.

Formats

Ways to structure the celebration

Every format below runs aboard the same private venue — pick the shape of the day and we plan backwards from there.

  • Evening reception after the service

Guests travel from the synagogue to the dock, board, and the celebration begins with a cocktail hour before dinner and dancing.

  • Split adult and teen decks

The main salon hosts the adult dinner while an upper deck runs a DJ-led teen party with its own menu and lounge seating.

  • Daytime family celebration

A brunch or lunch charter for a smaller family gathering, with a shorter programme and softer music.

  • Full-programme evening

Grand entrance, candle lighting, montage, dinner service, hora and a late dance block, built into a four-hour run of show.

  • Welcome gathering

A smaller charter the night before for travelling family, with the main celebration ashore or aboard the following day.

  • Large-format celebration

200 to 600 guests aboard our largest megayacht venue, using several decks, multiple bars and a staged entertainment area.

Yacht venues for bar & bat mitzvahs

The vessels below host 140 guests or more and combine interior salons with open deck space — the configuration most B'nai Mitzvah celebrations need.

The setting

Why bar & bat mitzvahs work aboard a yacht venue

  • Two celebrations, one venue

Multi-deck vessels let the adult reception and the teen party run at the same time in separate spaces, with families able to move between them.

  • A contained, supervised environment

Once the vessel departs, the guest list is fixed. Parents know exactly where every young guest is for the length of the charter.

  • An occasion the family remembers

The skyline departure marks the day as distinct from every hotel ballroom the family has attended before.

  • Dining that suits both groups

A seated or buffet dinner for adults and a separate teen-focused menu can be served simultaneously from the same galley.

  • Space for the programme

Candle lighting, speeches, the hora and a montage screening all need floor and sightlines — interior salons handle each in sequence.

  • One coordinated timeline

Our events team runs a single schedule covering boarding, dinner service, entertainment blocks and disembarkation.

Planning notes

What to decide before you book

  • Ceremony is separate

We host the celebration, not the religious service. Build travel time between your synagogue and the dock into the timeline.

  • Kosher-style and dietary menus

Kosher-style menus and specific dietary requirements are arranged in advance with our catering team and confirmed on your proposal.

  • Adult and teen zones

Tell us the split between adult and young guests early — it drives which vessel and which deck configuration we propose.

  • Entertainment and MC

DJ service and a dance floor are included. Party motivators, an MC, lighting upgrades and montage screens are optional additions.

  • Boarding and supervision

We publish a firm boarding window and crew are stationed on every deck for the length of the charter.

  • Photography and video

Photographers and videographers can board with the family ahead of guests to capture the empty room and the arrival.

How it works

Five steps from first call to celebration

  1. 01

    Share the celebration details

Date, guest count and how the adult and teen sides should run.

  2. 02

    Select the vessel

We recommend multi-deck venues that separate the two celebrations.

  3. 03

    Plan menus and entertainment

Dietary requirements, run of show, AV, montage and dancing.

  4. 04

    Finalize the event

Contract, deposit and a coordinator assigned to the family.

  5. 05

    Celebrate

Everyone boards in one place — adults, teens and grandparents.

Standard charters run four hours; extended charters are quoted subject to availability.

Questions, answered

Bar & Bat Mitzvahs on a Miami yacht — FAQs

Do you provide the religious ceremony?

No. Prime Experiences provides the venue, catering and event coordination. The religious service takes place at your synagogue or chosen location, and the celebration follows aboard the yacht.

Can you arrange kosher or kosher-style catering?

Kosher-style menus and specific dietary requirements can be arranged in advance with our catering team. Share the requirement at proposal stage so the menu and service plan are confirmed in writing.

Can adults and teens have separate spaces?

Yes. Our larger vessels have multiple decks and interior salons, so an adult reception and a teen party can run at the same time with separate music, seating and menus.

How many guests can a Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration include?

The vessels we recommend for B'nai Mitzvah celebrations host 140 guests or more, up to 600 aboard our largest megayacht venue. Published capacity for each vessel appears on its venue page.

Is entertainment included?

DJ service and a dance floor are included with the standard venue package. An MC, party motivators, lighting design, montage screens and live musicians are optional additions.

How are younger guests supervised?

Crew are stationed across every deck for the length of the charter and the guest list is fixed once the vessel departs. Families frequently add their own chaperones for the teen deck.

How long is the celebration?

A standard charter is four hours, which accommodates a cocktail hour, dinner service, the programme and a dance block. Extended charters are available subject to availability.

How far in advance should we reserve?

Most families reserve six to twelve months ahead, particularly for spring and autumn weekend dates. Shorter timelines can often be accommodated subject to availability.
