Can you rent a yacht in Miami for a graduation party?

Yes. Prime Experiences hosts graduation celebrations aboard Miami yacht venues for roughly 20 to 600 guests, depending on the vessel. Daytime and sunset charters are both available, and a standard charter runs four hours from Downtown Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Hollywood, Florida.

Catering, premium open bar for guests of legal drinking age, DJ service, a dance floor and modern décor are included with our standard venue packages. Non-alcoholic beverage packages, custom cakes, photography, décor upgrades and guest transportation are optional additions confirmed on your proposal.

Formats

Ways to structure the celebration

Every format below runs aboard the same private venue — pick the shape of the day and we plan backwards from there.

  • Family lunch charter

20 to 50 guests, a daytime buffet, toasts and photographs on the sun deck. The most common format for immediate family.

  • Sunset celebration

Boarding late afternoon for golden-hour photographs, followed by dinner service and the lit skyline on the return.

  • Joint family party

Two or three graduating families combining guest lists into one reception, with the programme split between honourees.

  • Friends-and-family reception

A standing format across two decks with stations, an open bar for guests of legal age and a dance floor.

  • Graduate school celebration

A more formal seated dinner marking an MBA, law or medical degree, often with colleagues and mentors invited.

  • Large-format class celebration

Several hundred guests aboard our largest vessels for a school- or programme-wide event, with staged entertainment.

Yacht venues for graduation parties

Graduation charters run across the fleet. Smaller vessels suit family lunches; larger venues handle full friends-and-family receptions.

The setting

Why graduation parties work aboard a yacht venue

  • Beats a booked-out restaurant

Graduation weekends saturate Miami dining rooms. A charter guarantees your own venue, your own start time and no shared floor.

  • Works for mixed-age guest lists

Grandparents, parents and the graduate's friends each find their own space across interior salons and open decks.

  • Daylight photography

A daytime or golden-hour charter gives the cap-and-gown photos a skyline backdrop rather than a hotel wall.

  • A contained celebration

Once aboard, the guest list is fixed and the crew manages bar service — a practical advantage with a young guest list.

  • Several families, one party

Joint graduation parties across two or three families are straightforward to plan and split on a single proposal.

  • Music without a noise complaint

DJ service and a dance floor are included, and the volume belongs to your group alone.

Planning notes

What to decide before you book

  • Book around ceremony dates

May and June weekends fill first. Confirm the ceremony date and reserve the charter immediately after it is published.

  • Alcohol service with young guests

Florida law applies and our crew manages bar service. Non-alcoholic packages and separate teen beverage service are available.

  • Photography timing

Cap-and-gown photos work best in the first hour, before dining service begins. We build the window into the timeline.

  • Cake and school colours

Custom cakes, school-colour linens and personalised signage can all be coordinated as additions.

  • Travelling relatives

Boarding is a single, fixed location. Guest transportation from hotels can be arranged for out-of-town family.

  • Speeches and awards

Keep the programme short — a welcome, one family toast and a word from the graduate lands better than a long block.

Questions, answered

Graduation Parties on a Miami yacht — FAQs

How much does a graduation party on a yacht cost?

Pricing depends on the vessel, guest count, date and menu. Each venue page shows sample pricing tiers as an estimate, and your proposal confirms the final figure.

Can guests under 21 attend?

Yes. Mixed-age guest lists are standard for graduation parties. Florida alcohol service rules apply and our crew manages bar service; non-alcoholic beverage packages are available.

Can we do a daytime charter?

Yes. Daytime and sunset charters are both available and are popular for graduations because of the photography light.

Can several families host together?

Yes. Joint graduation parties are common. We can structure the proposal so the cost is clear for each family.

How many guests can attend?

Our yacht venues host from roughly 20 to 600 guests. The published capacity for each vessel appears on its venue page.

Can we bring a cake and school décor?

Yes. Custom cakes can be coordinated through our catering team or brought aboard, and school-colour linens and signage can be added to your proposal.

How long is a graduation charter?

A standard charter is four hours. Extended charters can be arranged subject to availability.

When should we reserve?

Graduation weekends in May and June are the busiest of the year. Reserve as soon as the ceremony date is confirmed.
